Mayor Fried Delivers Oath to Three Promoted Robbinsville Police Officers
Each of the three officers are highly respected by their peers and administration and have received numerous department and civic awards since joining the force between 2004-2005.
Lt. Clifton began his career with the Washington Township Police Department at age 19 as a Communications Officer in 2001. In January, 2006 Lt. Clifton was assigned to the Firearms Unit, where he served as Field Training Officer and Firearms Division Supervisor. He was promoted to Sergeant in July, 2013, then Detective Sergeant in 2016. Lt. Clifton also is the Domestic Violence Liaison with the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.
Sgt. Farrell joined the Washington Township Police Department in 2004 and has been bestowed various awards for valor, including the 2009 Robbinsville Township "Officer of the Year."
Since 2005, Sgt. Kivet has served a variety of roles for the RPD, including the Deputy Office of Emergency Management Coordinator and Pro-Active Narcotics Unit Detective with the Criminal Investigation Bureau before being promoted to Sergeant. He began his current partnership with K9 "Quori" in September, 2016 to enhance one of the most successful and proactive narcotics patrols in the nation. Among many honors, Sgt. Kivet was the Mercer County "Officer of the Year" in 2011 and 2014, the Rotary Club's "Distinguished Officer of the Year" in 2012 and 2015 and has a number of life-saving awards.
